Objectives

In Europe’s largest industrial area, the Ruhr region, ChemSite concentrates the activities of the chemical and related industries along the value chains as an umbrella brand.

ChemSite was founded in 1997 with the objective to
• secure and further develop the chemical and related industries along the value chains in North Rhine-Westphalia and especially in the Ruhr region
• strengthen chemical and industrial sites in the Ruhr region through relocation of new enterprises and projects
• improve the general conditions for the chemical and chemical related industry
• support small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and young enterprises, and enhance the innovative power of the region
• support scientific and technical vocational training and qualification
• develop a distinctive milestone for regional structural change

All of these objectives serve for preserving existing and creating new jobs in North Rhine- Westphalia and especially in the Ruhr region.

Both investors and enterprises at the sites and the region benefit from the joint objectives of the ChemSite partners.
