Coatings network

The North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) coatings network offers skilled support for companies in all business-related matters.

Coatings technology is an important sector in the Ruhr area and in North Rhine-Westphalia, which is particularly characterized by its industrial processes. This means a high level of complexity of technical and staff interaction and a high degree of service orientation for the entire value chain.

To strengthen the industry and extend the regional competences, three partners decided to create the NRW coatings network together in 2009. These are DFO (Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft Oberflächenbehandlung e.V.), TFM (Technologieförderung Münster GmbH) and WiN Emscher Lippe GmbH, under the umbrella of the ChemSite Initiative.

The objective is to network the entire value chain for coatings technology and to thereby strengthen the competitiveness of companies. The network is thus the central point of contact and coordination for the entire value chain – from manufacturers of raw materials, paint and glues, the broad field of the user industry, plant construction and service companies to universities and knowledge institutions.
