Riyadh: Following the completion of its purchase of DSM's petrochemicals business, SABIC has announced the appointment of the board members to SABIC EuroPetrochemicals B.V., the new company responsible for its European petrochemical business. Mr Frans Noteborn is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Managing Board. Mr Boy Litjens (Chief Operating Officer) and Mr Jan Hessel Kruit also join the Board.
Mr Noteborn has been Managing Director of DSM Petrochemicals since 2000. He joined the company in 1969, and has since held various positions. From 1990 until 2000 he was Director of Polyethylenes and Polypropylenes and under his leadership the business grew to 2,600 Ktpa and became a leading supplier in Europe. Mr Noteborn is actively involved in many industry associations and activities including Plastics Recycling, Plastic Packaging, and the APME Steering Committee.
Mr. Litjens has been with DSM since 1977 and has also held several positions. Since 2000, he has been Business Director for Polypropylenes Moulding and Extrusion activities within DSM Petrochemicals. He is actively involved in the APME Polyolefins committee.
Mr. Kruit has been Managing Director of DSM Petrochemicals since 2000. He joined DSM in 1967 and held several positions especially in the hydrocarbons business. In 1987 he was appointed as Director of the Hydrocarbons business. Mr. Kruit is actively involved in several industry associations and activities including the board of EPCA (European Petro Chemical Association).
