Gelsenkirchen: The Supervisory Board of Veba Oel AG gave the go-ahead today for further capital expenditure in the Oil Processing division. At the Gelsenkirchen refinery, in which Veba Oel and the Venezuelan oil company PdVSA each hold a 50% stake through the joint venture Ruhr Oel GmbH, the value added of the hydrocracker - a plant for converting residues into higher-quality products - is to be increased through technical improvements.
