Marl: The new head of the ChemSite Initiative since July 1, 2003 is Dr. Margarete Gersemann. Dr. Gersemann, who has a doctorate in chemistry, thus succeeds Dr. Michael Czytko, who held this post for the past six years.
read more26.06.2003: Linde set to build carbon dioxide production plant at Marl Chemical Park - Germany
Linde Gas Produktionsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and Sasol Germany GmbH have signed a cooperative agreement for the production of liquid carbon dioxide. The new plant in the Marl Chemical Park is due to begin operation in mid-2004 and will be converting an extremely pure carbon dioxide gas to liquid carbon dioxide, as used, for example, in carbonated beverages such as mineral water.

Gelsenkirchen: In October 2002 VORP/BP and the Gelsenkirchen Chamber of Commerce and Industry made a joint suggestion to the district government authorities in Münster to declare the green areas north of the Gelsenkirchen-Scholven site as industrial sites.
