We provide targeted support for investors from Germany and other countries who
are interested in the chemical industry sites marketed by the ChemSite
initiative in the Ruhr region. Under the motto of “one face to the customer”,
the objective of ChemSite is to support investors from the chemical and related
industries from the first contact through to the successful start of production
and beyond. Each investor can simply hook up to the available infrastructure and
concentrate on its core areas of competence. The large number of relocations
bears witness to the quality of the ChemSite locations. The latest company to
relocate is Genan from Denmark, a world market leader in the recycling of used
tires. Genan is investing in a new recycling plant at the Dorsten/Marl
industrial estate to process about 65,000 tons of tires per years, or a tenth of
all the used tires disposed of in Germany.
